Gifts

Sometimes with war and all nasty kind of stuff going on, I lost faith in humans... But then, blog friends all over the world just embrace me with the sweetest and most kind words and presents, and when I look at my daughters, while they smile and how the big girl is so sweet to the baby, it's almost too good to be true. Life can be so wonderful! But in some of the blogs I read about much sorrow and death this year too, this year has been both up and down I guess, as always.
But I hope for a good 2016 for us all, and that the kindness of blogland will spread all over the world =)

Talking about kindness, I have got many presents lately! I'm overwhelmed! I just have to show you!

First I won a giveaway from: http://www.awsome.se/

Penelope sent books for my daughters and these wonderful shoes made by PatriSan. The books were very popular, so are the shoes!
The first time I saw PartiSans shoes, I knew I had to have a pair! But I didn't even dare to ask the price, and I'm so bad at buying from abroad (but Etsy made that easier for me, lucky for me, bad for my wallet)
And all a sudden, I'm the owner of these wonderful shoes! Can't thank you enough Penelope!
I have always loved shoes. When I was young I cried in the store, not because I didn't want to try on the shoes, but because I couldn't try on every shoe there was ;)

Then Kikka surprised me with gifts:
The Pencils are very cute, will go very well with a scene I have been thinking of making, someday =) Thanks Kikka!!

And Birgit surprised me last year (then it took me a year, to send her a little surprise back =) Since she is a bit quicker than me, she had already made a new gift for me this year)

I wonder if Birgit recognize the horse in our little Christmas tree?! (a gift from last year) My daughter loves it and got to hang it herself this year.
And my husband asked a few weeks ago, don't we have a new calender for 20016 for the hobby-room? No, we hadn't, but now, we do =) Thank you Birgit!

and Sara sent a beautiful card and my favourite character from Mumin (Moomin), Ninni (the invisible girl)

And Jane Cherié sent a card too, I was so surprised and grateful, thank you all for thinking of me!

Maybe life is catching up with me now.. Husband's back at work, I'm busy with the kids, and all kind of colds..
There has been way to many sick days here, for all of us. But I hope for a healthy 2016. I feel very blessed having these wonderful kids!
But I miss having more time for miniatures and blogs... but sometimes I just fall down exhausted in the couch, wanting something to read, and then the blogs are great, but I realize it's hard to comment every post I want to, so forgive me for not keeping up...

Sometimes when I (try to) clean the house I get this crazy idea I should just quit, sell all my dolls and quit making and collecting minis.. It'll be so much easier to clean.. and all these millions of "good-to-have"garbage and material, would just leave a lot of space.. But, who want clear space in their home, right? I guess everything will stay as it is, until I can pick up were I left it. But, I have to baby-proof everything again now, so all the needles and small items are packed away for awhile. And to make up for the lack of creativity, I bought a few books about miniatures to keep me busy the few times a day (nights) that I have a little time for myself =) Will show them later.

Wishing you all a happy new year!!
Take care

Band-aids

Found a great tutorial on band-aids, and I actually got some time to try it out. (The baby sleeps a lot some days, especially since she too got sick =( But not as bad as the rest of us, but enough to worry me, like crazy. Yesterday she was awake all day, and very sad, but today she sleeps all day.. The rest of the family is feeling much better now, it took a long time, this cough was no fun, but I'm glad it's almost over now!)
Anyway, back on the tutorial =) here it is: http://www.miniaturesanddollhouse.com/2015/10/miniature-doll-band-aid-or-adhesive.html

And I had some fun today taking some pictures, not the best pictures, but I was stressed that the baby would wake up =)

Mum have told Lovisa not to climb the couch, but Lovisa just can't help it, it's so much fun, until...
..she fell down...
And hurt her arm on the way. There was blood..
 ..and tears..
Then came mum
A hug always make it better
and of course a band-aid helps a lot!
And lucky for the Pettersson family I made more band-aids, so now they are ready for more accidents...
The big package is the first one I made, just printed the sheet I found on the blog I linked to in the beginning of the post. It was a bit too big I thought, so I tried making it smaller, this was the smallest (1,1cm and the big one is 1,5cm) I could make, it was a bit too small, very hard to make the band-aids that small, so they are a bit too big for the packings, but, it works =) They were a lot of fun to make! And I think they look so cute, and I love minis that actually works, like the real thing!

I read a lot of blogs while breastfeeding, it's hard to leave comments, since the keyboard is too far away, and my hands are tied, to the baby, but sometimes I manage to do it, other times I just read. It's a great way to spend my time while being "stuck" on the couch =)
I enjoy every second of my wonderful baby and you see, I even got some times for minis too =) Life is good!
Take care

The baby has arrived..

Just wanted to tell you all that the baby arrived, 8 days early, with a fast delivery, we barely made it to the hospital in time.. Every thing went very well, and we got to go home 7 hours after the birth. Big sister was very happy when she found out it was a baby sister, just as she wished for =)
So, all a sudden I have two wonderful daughters!
I feel good, last time I had some complications after and did not feel fine for a long time, but this time, I can't complain about a thing! well... I wouldn't mind skipping this nasty flu we got going here.. When the baby was 3 days old big sister got high fever and pains and later a cough.. And this weekend it was my turn.. And the father, well he got a crick, so the only healthy one in our family at this point, is the baby =) I'm happy as long as she is fine!

Will see when I get the time to read blogs and maybe make some miniatures again, but right now I just enjoy having such a perfect baby (while taking care of a sick, but still perfect, big sister too..)
Wishing you all a wonderful autumn!

Dolls and stick horses

One day my daughter asked me to do a blue mini stick horse for her dolls. She sat by my side the whole time and was very happy when I was done. (Now she wants to be a grown up so she can needle felt herself...)

I got stuck in horses for awhile.. But now I want to move on to something else.. But it's nice to do a lot when I feel like it, then it might take years until I want to do another horse again =)

As you could see on my Instagram, I did manage to do a dress for poor mini Blythe. It was harder than I thought.. But first I did a dress for a naked Lundby mum, it was easy and it fits perfectly.

Then I thought it would be easy to make another dress for LPS Blythe, but I was wrong...
The dress just came apart and the fabric wanted to come apart and then I used a lot of glue.. and in the end I just forced it on the poor doll after taking her head off.. The dress came apart again and I used more glue and now she is stuck in the dress.. =) Might be for the best.. I don't want to make another dress for a long time now...

Here she is with her friend.
(The dress on the right is not made by me, only the left one)

Finally she was able to leave the bedroom.

The girls had a nice time in the livingroom. (My daughter thought Lalaloopsy should be in the picture too!)
And we had some rainy days, so the girls got to watch the same TV show me and my daughter watched this week; Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking)

I went looking for my Lundby furniture at my mum's basement, found a whole box of Lundby dolls =) Some will move in to the Lundby Dallas house.

I have gotten stuck in buying dolls too, I just love them, the apartment is quite full of dolls and miniatures by now.. Barbie, Ever After High and all kind of small dolls.. But since Sweden stop selling EAH I got a bit mad and don't know if I want to buy more.. it's not as fun to order abroad and they even deleted the whole EAH site in Swedish, and all the episodes are gone. So now me and my daughter can't watch them together.. I know they still make new ones in English, but she doesn't understand English yet.. and I think it was much more fun to watch them together with her.. and when they even deleted the old episodes so we can't even watch our old favourite ones I just gave up! But I'll save all my EAH dolls, and maybe I'll buy Kitty and Cupid too, really want them, but have to look abroad then.. But the Swedish prices were crazy, so I understand they didn't sell good enough.. 2 times or 3 times the price on Amazon.com, that is just stupid.. But when they gave up EAH they sold them very cheep, so I have manage to get hold on some new ones for a good price, have to take pictures of them some day..

But now I just rest a lot, building up some energy for times to come..
Take care

Lundby Dallas in action

Things are happening in the Dallas house. First we had to do some cleaning:

Daddy got a new ride

And a scary Furious Smurf was lurking around

(No doll was harmed during the photos)

And then there were lights!

And a 3,5 year old girl REALLY interested in mommy's dollhouse

(Lots of work to be done, wires to hide..)

(I have to dig deeper into my old boxes of furniture, I think there are more kitchen pieces to be found..)

And a swap with Sara, with a doll that my daughter snitched right away..

I was not going to have any Lalaloopsy dolls, there are too many dolls out there for me to collect everything.. but this one is so cute I had to have it, and now I want more.. (I almost doesn't have this one, since my daughter say it's her collectable doll, that she collects, and I can't play with it, (wonder what she got that from ;) ) but she lives in my dollhouse)

And finally there is a cranky doll in the house that refuses to get out of bed until I give her some clothes..
Tried cheering her up with a teddy bear, but I agree, she should get some clothes..
And a name.

Take care
I'll try making some clothes for poor LPS Blythe now..
(Update: here are a dress, not the best one.. but I might try again later.. https://instagram.com/p/7Ioc5EAm1Q/ )

Needle felting and flee market findings

Summer is going to it's end (but here in Sweden we finally got sun and some heat, I have been missing that yellow warm thing!)
My husband got back to work, me and my daughter are back to being home alone.. with a big stomach and some serious back pains. But we have been outside enjoying the sun a bit, me on a bench, while she has been running around the playground.
I hope I will have time for some bloging and reading blogs this autumn, but I'm afraid I wont have much time for miniatures this autumn since the baby is expected in less than 2 months now! Were did the time go? But now it feels like I'm stuck in time, with pains and a big (Everyone keeps saying I have such a small stomach) bump that just wont let me move.. I'll be so happy once the baby is on the outside instead of the inside, being pregnant isn't my favourite thing to be.. But I keep trying to think how fast 9 month will go.. But right now, stuck and unable to move..

Anyhow I saw Jennifer got an Instagram account, I started to look it up again.. After a few weeks I even downloaded the app for my phone, but never opened it =) Then Jane Chérie talked about Instagram too, and now I finally manage to open the app and open an account, so now I'll try to learn and maybe post some pictures there too. I do love blogging because you can write, a lot.. =) And I tend to do that.. I'm better at writing than taking pictures, but it's fun to take pictures too, and I will try to combine these two, and I love to follow others and see all their amazing pictures. So if you have an account I should follow, let me know =) And if you want to follow me, this is my accound: Hannahsminiatyrer

I haven't felt like doing much lately, I'm just too tired for everything now, but I haven't given up on needlefelting just look at the bunch of cats and giraffes appearing the last months..
I do dream of attending another fair, maybe next year?! I try to do a few minis to add to a "selling box", and hopefully I'll have enough things to attend a fair next autumn =) I hope to bring my daughter too, she is a great helper and I think she would like to see all those miniatures =)

Yesterday we went to a big flee market, I was looking for dolls and dollhouse furniture. No more dollhouses =) But.. The first thing I saw, was a nice Lundby Dallas house. Original wallpaper, just like I want it! And nice condition. It lacks a few plastic things for the windows, a door to the garage down stairs, two parts for the fence, and a half door to the stable at the side and the front downstairs. The chimney is loose, I have to glue it back on the roof later.
Here you can see the house in the catalogue of Lundby 1975: http://dollhouse.mine.nu/download/ws/lundby-/lundby%201975_VS.pdf

 With the "front" attached

Without front wall

Also found a box of furniture. I'll see if I'll keep everything or sell a few of them (I already have the stove, since I was a kid, really like that one, but now I have two of them =) )

I also found this cute littlest pet shop Blythe. I have been looking for them =) I was so happy to find her, and she was very cheap too =)
A great day at the flee market! Sunny and great findings =)

Mini BenJi

I started working on my first clay/wool dog awhile ago. And wanted to make mums dog in miniature, to give her on her birthday. I have been thinking of making a miniature of him for years now, but always end up thinking it was too hard. But then I finally started and the real dog got to see the unfinished one before he passed away. When he died (about a month ago) I felt like I had to make the best mini dog ever.. hard to live up to =(
"Funny" how I think of doing a miniature for years, and when I finally do, the real dog dies.. Not the best time to work on this, I was about to cry every time I tried finish him.. But I got done, a few hours before the birthday party..
He was a mixed breed, shih tzu, lhasa apso and tibetan spaniel and a few more breeds further back too. A unique dog that is =)

Here is BenJi wondering what I was working on while we was "babysitting" one day. (Last time he was here..) My daughter took her role as a babysitter very serious, she took good care of him and wanted him to have a nice stay at our place =)

This very unfinished picture just reminded me of one day he and I was out, the wind blew really hard that day, and he was just a little puppy and the fur stood up, all over =) He looked kinda like this =)

 Finished?!
I had to stop sometime, it was hard, I thought I could do better all the time, and added and remade things all the time, then I just had to put a stop to myself and say that I was done! Which I did (but look at the last picture, I did add some more white fur on the nose one last time before wrapping the gift..)

Visiting my dollhouse

I added a bit more white to the nose and tail, and then I decided I was done =)
I wasn't totally satisfied, but this is my first dog, I might get better at this in a few years, and maybe I'll do another one then.. But I have to say he is kinda cute, even do he might not look just like the "original".

Take care
